BROILER FARMS

The NPC broiler farms are distributed across different areas at the south of Jordan and provide healthy chickens to the slaughterhouse. Farms are operated with the high technology of closed house systems which ensure the special environment that maintains the healthy growth of chickens and the isolation of external environmental and microorganism effects.

The National Poultry Co. has 13 farms that range in space between 15,000 to 25,000 square meters with a production capacity that reaches 17,000-18,000 chicks per house with a cycle of 34-37 days.

The broiler farm management works closely with breeders’ and hatchery’s management to oversee the final quality of broiler farms and ensure healthy parent stock, careful hatchery practice and efficient delivery of high quality chicks.

CHICK ARRIVAL

Transport of the chicks from the hatchery to the broiler farms is optimally managed using the company’s fully equipped vehicles. Strict control procedures start from the moment of receiving the day-one chick. Housing, the surrounding area, and all the equipment are cleaned and disinfected before the chicks’ arrival to ensure they inhabit bio-secure and clean housing. The homes are pre-heated to a suitable humidity and temperature levels prior to the chicks’ arrival, and feed and water are immediately available. Equipment is arranged to enable chicks to easily reach feed and water.

FEED

The 100% grain feed is produced by the NPC feed mill with the best global quality standards. The choice of feeding program is carefully studied and implemented to reach target weight according to market demand.

TECHNOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL

Closed houses monitored by a special computerized program, temperature and relative humidity is monitored regularly, supported with a developed ventilation system to provide fresh air and remove waste gases.

HEALTH AND BIO-SECURITY

A strict and comprehensive hygiene program that includes site cleaning, site bio-security, external surrounding areas, and clear procedures for visitors, employees, feed transportation and delivery is implemented.

CRITICAL WEIGHT MANAGEMENT

Body-weight control is maintained to meet consumers’ demands.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
