Animal welfare

The National Poultry Company (NPC) follows comprehensive, well-planned procedures regarding animal welfare; a science-based guideline is adopted, as well as a strong commitment to humanely handling the chicken flock.

NPC has a team of veterinary specialists who are responsible for monitoring and controlling the operation process on each farm to ensure the implementation of right procedures and to take corrective actions.

At the breeders’ farm or the broilers’ farms, proper, detailed procedures and conditions are ensured throughout the whole process, starting with poultry closed house structure down to internal measurements of proper lighting, heating, ventilation, water and feeding for each age, as well as protection from disease and strong bio-security procedures.

NPC’s objective is to make sure that the chickens are raised, treated, managed, protected, transported, and processed in a proper, humane manner.
