Fried Mashed Potato Balls

  • 2 medium white potatoes (boiled, peeled and mashed)
  • Bread crumb (the soft part of the bread)
  • 1 egg white
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • ½ cup sunflower oil
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 egg yolk + 1 egg lightly beaten
  • ½ cup of bread crumbs
  1. Place the mashed potatoes, bread, egg white, and pepper in large bowl. Hand mix, cover, and leave in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat the oil.
  3. Roll small pieces of the potato mix into balls.
  4. Roll each ball in flour, eggs, and bread crumbs.
  5. Fry until golden brown.
  6. Place the fried mashed potato balls on a paper towel for some time then serve.
